FTC Issues New Model Privacy Notice
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the federal banking regulatory agencies have jointly issued a new model privacy notice. Dealers should consider transitioning to the new notice as soon as possible. The forms are available at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2009/11/glb.shtm.

Documentary Fee Increase for 2010
The documentary fee has been adjusted in accordance with the Federal Consumer Price Index (CPI) and has increased. Effective immediately, the maximum allowable documentary fee has been increased from $100 to $103 for processing titlework manually and from $120 to $123 for performing online registrations with an online provider such as TriVIN.

Board of Vehicles Act Amendments Signed by Governor
On September 3, 2009, legislation drafted by PAA which augments dealer protections provided for in the state franchise law was signed by Governor Ed Rendell.
